(10172006) - Good topic Dave! When I hear a good band or good particulary performance, I do try to say thank you and comment positively about it. I saw Roger Behrend twice at the Capitol. One time he played in a quartet (Danny Boy) and another The Melody Shop. Both times I went up to him and told him I liked his playing. John Mueller is down here in Memphis and when I hear him play, I tell him I like it. ditto for most good soloists, no matter what the instrument. And I try to tell the band director I like the band.
